To celebrate the return of our colourful André Knitwear range within our current Autumn Winter collection, we have pulled together a quick check list for wearing Sweaters over Shirts. Keep an eye here on our regular blog updates as we will be including many articles on mens style and tips on how to wear various style items.
Always wear a V-Neck sweater with the bottom tails of the shirt tucked in at the waist of chinos or jeans. Collars are usually tucked into a v-neck. V-Neck style is ideal wear for casual friday or for outdoor activities and weekends.
Crew or Round-Neck sweaters are seen as more Casual wear, typically worn on their own or alternatively can be worn with t-shirts underneath and also polo shirts with the collar turned slightly upward.
- Avoid bulky sweaters around the waist and stomach area. Don’t be fooled into thinking that bulk hides the added pounds, in fact it only emphasizes the area more.
- Always wear your actual size. For example, if your body size is classed medium but you decide to wear a small sweater – not only will it appear too tight, but you also will feel very uncomfortable. If you decide to opt for a large sweater, it will make you feel comfortable, however it will result in your appearance looking bigger than it actually is. So go for that medium sized sweater, you won’t look too bad after all.
